Sie vertr\u00e4gt ein paar Grad Frost (bis zu \u20137 \u00b0C), wird aber in k\u00fchlen Klimazonen meist als einj\u00e4hrige Pflanze in feuchten bis nassen B\u00f6den (bis zu 15 cm tiefes Wasser) angepflanzt. Eine wundersch\u00f6ne Ufer- oder Sumpfpflanze f\u00fcr einen gesch\u00fctzten, sonnigen bis leicht schattigen Platz. Immergr\u00fcn in sehr milden Wintern oder m\u00e4\u00dfig warmen Klimazonen.
