Het vijverwater heeft hier immers vrij toegang en zal de grond nathouden. Moerasplanten mogen in een diepte van 0-15 cm onder water staan, maar dit staat bij dit soort planten meestal aangegeven. Waar je wel op moet letten is dat jouw moerasplanten niet gaan woekeren. Om de snelle groeiers een beetje in bedwang te houden kun je moerasplanten het beste in vijvermanden plaatsen.
