The small, kidney-shaped, green, creamy-white edged leaves of this variegated variety of this Asiatic Hydrocotyle-species builds by long, creeping stems a dense tapistry in moist places. Very rapid, often almost invasive growth. Therefore great in a pot or hanging basket as well. Flowering is inconspicuous. After flowering green fruits may be produced. The original species is also used as a submerged aquarium-plant. The leaves are used for medicinal teas. Moderately winter-hardy.
