This perfect submerged or oxygenating plant may stretch the reddish tinted ends of its densely and finely leaved stems up to 15 cm above water. The name Myriophyllum means ‘ten thousand-leaved’ (myrios = ten thousand). Fish spawn likes to hide between the stems and fish deposit their eggs to them. A fine, in bottom soil rooting, less winter-hardy pond- and aquarium plant.
