The best recognized of water plants and for good reason! The goblet shaped buds open to reveal glamorous red/pink star shaped flowers with golden anthers. It grows in water from 30-100 centimeters deep and likes large ponds and lakes. The leaves can be up to 20 centimeters in diameter and they take up a spread of 150 centimeters per plant.
