This grasslike marsh- or pond-edge plant from (among other places) Southern-Europe and the Mediterranean area grows ground-covering with dense turfs of round, rolled-in, bright green and evergreen leaves from which white, fluffy inflorescenses appear during summer. The plant is not quite winter-hardy, so put it in deeper water during winter to protect the roots from freezing. A good cover might work well too. Cut back yearly to give young leaves best opportunities to develop. For a spot in light shade to sun and in nutritious pond-soil.
