Commonly called the Bog Bean, it is a creeping perennial that can spread across a pond. It should be planted at the edge of a pond in an aquatic basket. Place the basket in a sunny spot to encourage the short-lived flowers. Small, delicate spikes appear in summer, with pink buds opening into white blooms with pretty frilly edges.
